My name, for those of you who may not know me, is Teri Hirko. I am a
45
year old single mother. I live in rural Pennsylvania
and have two lovely daughters...21
year old Jennifer, and 15 year old Courtney...who are the joys of my life and
my greatest inspiration.
Most days here at our house are a challenge for one reason or another, but mostly because life as a single mom simply isn't easy. There are many things that need to be done and most of the time there is no one to do them but you. I'm sure some of you know what that's like! We get by with a lot of help from our friends. I find a lot of comfort in sharing humorous stories with my online friends. It is through those stories that people started to encourage me to "do something" with my writing! I like to write words on paper and share them with other people to make them smile. Sometimes those words come out as poetry, sometimes as stories about my life, and sometimes as long letters written from the heart. I will be sharing some of those writings with you on my site. And I hope you will find something that will touch your heart in some way and grace your face with a smile. I consider making other people smile to be my greatest challenge in life. It's one job that I seem to do well, and get a lot of satisfaction out of. There is no amount of money that anyone could pay me that would be as rewarding as knowing that maybe...for just a brief moment, I took the cares from your heart and turned them into a smile!
