My name, for those of you who may not know me, is Teri Hirko. I am a 54 year old single mother. I live in rural Pennsylvania
and have two lovely daughters...30 year old Jennifer, and 23 year old Courtney...who are the joys of my life and
my greatest inspiration. On August 16, 2003 I gained a son when Jennifer married her husband, Bill. He's the greatest son-in-law ever! On April 27, 2010 Jen and Bill blessed me with my first grandchild, their son Rian Mikoda Byrnes, who is the absolutely precious! Of all the things I've done in my life I find that I love being a grandma the most! Any day now Rian will be getting a sibling...supposedly a sister. Jen's due with their second child July 30, 2011. I'll keep you posted!
I enjoy sharing humorous stories with my online friends. It
is through those stories that people started to encourage me to "do
something" with my writing! I like to write words on paper and share
them with other people to make them smile. Sometimes those words come out as
poetry, sometimes as stories about my life, and sometimes as long letters
written from the heart.
I'll be sharing some of those writings with you on my site. I hope you'll find something that will touch your heart in some way and grace your face
with a smile.
I consider making other people smile to be my greatest challenge in life.
It's one job that I seem to do well, and get a lot of satisfaction out
of. There's no amount of money that anyone could pay me that would be as
rewarding as knowing that maybe...for just a brief moment, I took the cares
from your heart and turned them into a smile!
I hope you enjoy your visit to my pages and that if you feel so inclined you
might drop me a line to share your thoughts. If you really enjoy your time
here, please feel free to invite your friends to stop by for a visit.
I love meeting new people and forming new friendships! I think of all my
friends as the flowers in the garden of my life, and I'd love to have you and
your friends blooming in my garden!
Thank you for visiting! Please come back often!
Your hostess,
Teri Hirko |
